Why
is it hard to use technology in Albanian schools .
Though we live in the
21st century Albanian schools in general have not embrace
developments in technology that much .
Why so ? Here are some reasons :
1-Many teachers argue that technology cause more harm than
good. Because of the fact that many of the modern technologies are very
passive, they do not provide children with the quality and quantity of crucial
emotional, social, cognitive, or physical experiences they require when they
are young.
2-Educators confront a number of challenges when using technology in the classroom.
3-Teachers must understand the computer applications more
completely to use the computer for learning. There is a challenge of how to
prepare prospective teachers and in service teachers for teaching and learning
with technology. Most professional development programs have not provided
teachers with the knowledge or experience to begin to use computer technology
in their classroom. Technology implementation is not simply putting computers
in every classroom or linking every classroom to the Internet.
4-A lack of funding touches every level of education and
makes it particularly difficult to provide technology infrastructures and
tools, sufficient support staff, and professional development opportunities.
Many computers and software programs in the classrooms are outdated. Schools
have limited computers, Internet access, software and support to offer each
classroom. Internet connections may be limited to certain designated computers.

I really like the topic you have chosen Klesta.I totally agree that using technology in Albanian schools it's a bit difficult.It seems as a real challenge for both students and teachers. I think that the very best thing is that we are getting used little by little to the idea of using of technology in the classroom.To me that is the very first step. Good job!
ReplyDeleteHello Klesta this is for real a very good topic and I agree with you for sure .Using technology here in Albanian classes and schools is a big challenge for real because even if teachers tend to use it the conditions, the material and funds just like you said are lacking .But even though it is a tough challenge it seems that the idea of using technology in Albanian schools is being generated is being developed .We shall always seek for better development.Great job!

ReplyDeleteyour post is a demonstration of the Albanian reality and how things work here. but it seems that they do not work in the best way, technology works partially in some schools and it doesn't exist at all in other schools.
